Prestik Putty Sealant is a formless, viscous, kneadable, self-adhesive sealant for manual application. Areas of application: For interior and exterior seals that are not exposed to constant water exposure and/or direct weathering. Examples of use: Sealing wall and ceiling penetrations, e.g., for pipes, valves in sanitary areas, balcony and terrace drains, clay and fiber cement drainpipes, cracks in masonry, doors and windows, and for vehicles. Prestik Putty Sealant is not intended for conventional joints (bed joints, expansion joints), but rather for local sealing and repair seals. It is only suitable to a limited extent for movable joints. Prestik Putty Sealant remains permanently plastic and does not harden like conventional window putty. APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Adhesive surfaces: Prestik Putty Sealant adheres very well to smooth surfaces. The adhesive surfaces must be solid, dry, and free of dust, dirt, and grease. New and old sealant bonds together; however, a weathered and/or dirty surface must be removed beforehand. Working method: Prestik Putty Sealant is self-adhesive and is kneaded or pressed into the sealing area with the hands. Prestik Putty Sealant is non-dirty, and any residue can be wiped off smooth surfaces. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS: Prestik Putty Sealant does not emit harmful fumes, contains no solvents, and requires no special protective measures. Prestik Putty Sealant does not contain halogens, lead, or cadmium compounds. When using Prestik Putty Sealant, the usual guidelines for handling chemical products apply: Do not eat, drink, or smoke while working; avoid contact with eyes and skin; wash hands before breaks and at the end of work.
